Cash currency market overview: banks began to raise dollar and euro rates
Cash currency market continues to live its own life, not always reacting to what is happening on the interbank market.
By the end of the week, cash currency exchange operators signaled the onset of "stability" in the capital's currency market: the exchange rate in Kyiv has been holding at 44.93-44.95 hryvnia for the second day. The dollar selling rate in Dnipro also remained unchanged: like yesterday, the dollar was sold at 44.92 hryvnia.
The dollar became cheaper by only 1 kopeck in Kharkiv: from 44.98 to 44.97 hryvnia on the sale. At the same price – 44.97 hryvnia – cash "American" was also sold in Lviv. But Odesa pleasantly surprised by the end of the week: here the price tag was lowered immediately by 5 kopecks, to 44.92 hryvnia.
Ukrainian banks, it seems, found the "bottom" yesterday. And today they began a smooth increase in price tags both for the dollar and the euro. If yesterday evening the cheapest dollar could be purchased in the Kyiv branch of Poltava-Bank at 44.90 hryvnia, today – at 44.98 hryvnia in Bank Lviv. The most expensive, as yesterday, – in Zaporizhzhia's Metabank at 45.40 hryvnia.
The cash euro today decided to keep the dollar company and also began to rise in price. If yesterday evening it could be bought cheapest at 50.40 hryvnia in Grant Bank, today – only at 50.45 hryvnia in Oxi Bank. However, analysts believe that buying the euro now is quite risky, because globally it continues to fall against the dollar.
