Power outages on October 10: restrictions to affect part of Ukraine's regions
On Saturday, October 10, hourly power outage schedules will continue to be in effect in some regions of Ukraine. Restrictions will also affect industrial enterprises and businesses.
This was reported by the national energy company Ukrenergo on Friday, October 9.
According to the published forecast, on October 10 the following restrictions will apply:
- From 00:00 to 23:59 — capacity limitation schedules for industry and business.
- From 06:00 to 23:59 — hourly outage schedules for all categories of consumers in the amount of one to two stages.
The reason for the introduction of restrictions was the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities.
The company warns that the situation in the power system remains difficult and may change depending on subsequent shelling. Therefore, the announced schedules may be adjusted.
Consumers are advised to follow the messages of regional electricity distribution system operators (oblenergo). It is they who publish information about the time and duration of outages for specific addresses.
Ukrenergo also called on citizens to use electricity sparingly during hours when power supply is restored according to the schedule. This will help reduce the load on the power system.
