Dollar growth accelerated: banks and exchange offices are rewriting price tags
The cash currency market reacted to the fact that the cashless dollar on the interbank currency market once again exceeded the 45 hryvnia mark and also went up. As a result, by the end of Monday, the selling rate of cash "American" in wholesale exchange offices of the capital increased by 12 kopecks compared to last Friday – to 45.05 hryvnia.
In Dnipro by evening, the dollar was also sold at 45.05 hryvnia, in Kharkiv, Lviv and Odesa – at 45.10 hryvnia. The growth amounted to 13 kopecks in Kharkiv, Dnipro and Lviv; selling price tags in Odesa added 18 kopecks.
Last Friday, the "Kurs Ukrainy" portal wrote that Ukrainian banks seemed to have found the "bottom". Today the growth that began last week continued and accelerated. The cheapest dollar by Monday evening was sold in Kyiv branches of Poltava-Bank, Sky Bank and Trust Capital Bank – exactly at 45.00 hryvnia. In other bank branches the rate was higher, and in Zaporizhzhia's Metrobank it grew to 45.55 hryvnia by evening.
Despite the fact that the euro is falling in the world, this is not reflected in Ukraine. If last Friday the cheapest euro could be bought in Oxi Bank at 50.45 hryvnia, today – already at 50.55 hryvnia in the same Oxi Bank and Ukrgasbank. The hryvnia is falling against the dollar faster than the euro on FOREX, as a result the euro per hryvnia even rises in price.
