President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of new decisions to support Ukraine, which European partners should make during the current week. Kyiv expects additional aid packages, continued funding, and progress in negotiations on joining the European Union.

The head of state stated this on Tuesday, October 13, in his evening video address.

According to the president, the Ukrainian side continues active negotiations with European states and international partners who can provide additional support.

"This week there will be good decisions in support of Ukraine — we are preparing them now. I continue to contact all our partners who can help us and who are always effective," — Zelensky reported.

On Tuesday, the president scheduled talks with the prime ministers of Denmark and Lithuania, and on Wednesday, October 14, important talks in Great Britain.

Special attention this week will be paid to cooperation with the European Union. Zelensky confirmed that new support packages for Ukraine are expected, but did not specify their composition, total cost, or specific timing.

Earlier, on October 11, Zelensky had a telephone conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Following the talks, it became known that the European Union intends to allocate about 3 billion euros in additional military support to Ukraine during the week from October 12 to 18. The funds are intended to strengthen Ukrainian defense, in particular by providing drones and missiles.

Another area of negotiations remains Ukraine's accession to the EU. Zelensky announced plans to open two new negotiation clusters this week. These concern the internal market, as well as competitiveness and inclusive growth.

The president reminded that in the summer Ukraine had already opened two clusters and confirmed the intention to complete the opening of all six negotiation clusters by the end of 2026.

"This is our plan. And this is a priority. This is political and moral support for our people, this is proof of the irreversibility of Ukraine's course," — Zelensky emphasized.

In addition, the Ukrainian side continues to work on ensuring full funding of state needs and implementing agreements with European partners.

In this regard, the head of state noted the need for the Verkhovna Rada and the government to adopt a number of laws and decisions scheduled for the current week.
