The decline in non-cash dollar quotes on the interbank currency market, which has been observed since 12:00 and led to the non-cash dollar falling below the level of 45 UAH, had an impact on the mood of the cash currency market.

However, here the price reduction was purely symbolic. By the end of Wednesday, the selling rate of cash "American" in wholesale exchange offices of the capital decreased by only 1 kopeck compared to yesterday – to 45.12 UAH.

In Dnipro, by the evening the dollar was sold at 45.10 UAH, in Kharkiv – at 45.13 UAH, in Lviv – at 45.15 UAH, and in Odesa – at 45.25 UAH. As we can see, in Lviv and Odesa the dollar remained at yesterday's level, while in Kharkiv and Dnipro it fell by 5 kopecks. The price difference between cash and non-cash dollar increased to 14 kopecks in favor of cash.

If yesterday Ukrainian banks competed who will raise prices more, today the opposite trend emerged: synchronously with the decline in non-cash dollar on the interbank market, banks began to reduce their cash currency exchange rates. As a result, by the evening of Wednesday, the cheapest dollar was sold in western branches of Bank Lviv – at 45.09 UAH (6 kopecks cheaper than yesterday's lows), and the most expensive – by Zaporizhzhia Metbank, at 45.45 UAH (15 kopecks cheaper than yesterday's highs).

The euro also began to cheapen, which only yesterday grew against both the dollar and the hryvnia. If yesterday evening the cheapest euro was sold at 50.68 UAH in Raiffeisen Bank, by the evening of Thursday the minimum selling price dropped to 50.55 UAH in Tascombank. Today the euro on FOREX fell to the level of 1.1112 dollars after the publication of US inflation data: the data came out better than forecast and signaled an increase in the chances of a rate hike by the US Federal Reserve. It is expected that tomorrow morning banks will start reducing euro rates vying with each other, trying to get rid of a depreciating asset.
