President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, October 14, held a meeting with King Charles III of the United Kingdom. The audience took place at Buckingham Palace in London as part of the Ukrainian leader's working visit.

Zelensky reported this on his Telegram channel, thanking the British monarch for supporting Ukraine.

"I thank His Majesty King Charles III for the audience. It is important for me to have the opportunity to personally thank for the unwavering support of Ukraine. We appreciate all the help of the United Kingdom," — the president wrote.

During the meeting, Zelensky and Charles III exchanged handshakes and held a conversation. Buckingham Palace also published photos of the meeting. The details of the conversation have not yet been disclosed by either side.

Zelensky's visit to the United Kingdom takes place against the backdrop of new agreements on military support for Ukraine. On Wednesday, the Ukrainian president also planned talks with Prime Minister Andy Burnham on security issues and further assistance to Kyiv.

Earlier, the British government announced the acceleration of deliveries to Ukraine of Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMM), which are used to destroy Russian drones, including jet ones.

London has prepared a package of air defense missiles worth 45 million pounds sterling. Deliveries of part of the weapons worth a total of 10 million pounds are planned to be accelerated to meet Ukraine's most urgent needs before winter.

In addition, the British authorities intend to prepare additional sanctions, military and financial measures to support Ukraine in the coming weeks.

Zelensky previously said that during the talks with Burnham he expects to discuss a wide range of security issues and prepare decisions that will strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.

This is not the first meeting of the Ukrainian president with the British monarch. In particular, on June 8, 2026, Charles III received Zelensky at Windsor Castle. Then the Ukrainian leader also expressed gratitude to the King and the British people for supporting Ukraine during Russian aggression.
