On October 15, Ukraine will introduce power outage schedules: time and restrictions
On Thursday, October 15, power outage schedules will be in effect in some regions of Ukraine. The restrictions will affect both household consumers and industrial enterprises and businesses.
The national energy company "Ukrenergo" announced this on the evening of October 14.
Electricity supply restrictions are planned from 06:00 to 23:59. During this period, two types of schedules will be in effect:
- From 06:00 to 23:59 — power limitation schedules for industry and business.
- From 06:00 to 23:59 — hourly power outage schedules for all categories of consumers in the amount of 0.5 to 1.5 stages.
The reason for the restrictions is the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities.
The company warned that the situation in the energy system remains unstable and may change depending on the consequences of new shelling and the condition of damaged equipment.
Ukrenergo did not publish the exact list of regions where restrictions will be in effect on October 15 in the evening message. The specific outage time for each address must be checked on the official websites and pages of regional electricity distribution system operators — oblenergo.
Energy workers also urged Ukrainians to use electricity economically during periods when it appears according to the schedule. This is necessary to reduce the load on the energy system and prevent additional accidents.
Recall that on October 14, Russian troops carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine's energy facilities. According to Ukrenergo, in the morning consumers in Kyiv, as well as in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi and Zaporizhzhia regions remained without electricity.
During the day, hourly outage schedules with a volume of up to two stages were in effect in some regions. Power limitations for industrial enterprises were also applied.
For October 15, a somewhat smaller volume of hourly outages is planned — from 0.5 to 1.5 stages. However, the actual duration of electricity absence will depend on the situation in a particular region and the decisions of the local power grid operator.
