Russian troops on October 28 and on the night of October 29 attacked energy facilities in several regions of Ukraine. As a result of new strikes and previous damage to the power system, some consumers in Donetsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions were left without electricity. At the same time, in Konotop, it was possible to restore the possibility of supplying electricity to all consumers.

This was reported on October 29 by NEC "Ukrenergo" in its morning summary on the state of the power system.

The company noted that in the affected regions, emergency restoration work has already begun where security conditions allow. Power engineers are working to restore electricity supply to all de-energized consumers.

In some regions, until the end of October 29, hourly power outage schedules of up to 2.5 queues will continue to be in effect. For industrial enterprises, capacity limitation schedules will also be applied. Such measures are necessary to prevent overloading of equipment damaged by previous Russian attacks.

According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption on October 29 as of 09:30 was 2% lower than on Wednesday at the same time. The reason for the decrease was forced power supply restrictions. At the same time, the evening peak consumption on October 28 remained at the level of the previous day.

Separately, the company reported on the restoration of electricity supply in Konotop, Sumy region. As of 10:10, all consumers in the city again had access to electricity. However, due to network damage, electricity is still being supplied in turns, and the order and duration of connections are determined by power engineers.

As "Kurs Ukraine" previously reported, after the Russian attack on Sumy region, about 200 thousand consumers were left without electricity. As of the evening of October 28, approximately 4.5 thousand subscribers remained without power. Then power engineers predicted the completion of the first stage of restoration by the end of the day.

Ukrenergo urges Ukrainians to limit the use of powerful electrical appliances from 16:00 to 22:00. Due to possible new attacks, the situation in the power system may change, so current outage schedules must be checked on the official resources of local oblenergos.
