The 'Chernihivska' Auchan hypermarket in Kyiv, damaged in a Russian attack on the evening of October 26, has resumed its work. The store welcomes customers again, although repairs are still ongoing.
Auchan Ukraine's press service announced this on October 29.
The company noted that it completed the necessary work to restore customer service as soon as possible. However, restoration of the damaged premises is not yet finished, and certain facilities in the store may need temporary restrictions. As for what limitations visitors should expect, the retailer did not elaborate.
The Chernihivska Auchan hypermarket is located in the Prospect shopping and entertainment complex near the metro station of the same name.
Previously Kurs Ukrainy reported that the store was hit during Russia's strike on the capital on the evening of October 26. Damage in the selling space was significant, but no staff or visitors were hurt.
Right after the attack, the company closed the hypermarket for damage assessment and restoration works. The store therefore resumed its operation three days after the shelling. So far Auchan hasn't disclosed the amount of losses incurred nor an estimated date for completion of all repairs.
