On Friday, October 30, hourly power outage schedules will continue to be in effect in a number of regions of Ukraine. The restrictions will affect residential consumers, businesses and other categories of users.

The national energy company Ukrenergo reported this on the evening of October 29.

According to the power system operator, power outages are scheduled from 06:00 to 23:59. Depending on the situation in the power system, their volume will be from 1.5 to 2.5 stages.

For industrial enterprises and businesses during the same period, from 06:00 to 23:59, capacity limitation schedules will be in effect.

The reason for the continued outages remains the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Equipment damage limits the ability of the power system to supply electricity to consumers in the required volume.

Ukrenergo warned that the time and duration of outages may change depending on the state of the power system and the consequences of possible new attacks.

The company did not provide a single list of regions where restrictions will apply. The exact time of outage at a specific address must be checked on the official websites and pages of local electricity distribution system operators — oblenergo.

On Thursday, October 29, schedules were also in effect in some regions from 06:00 to 23:59. The volume of restrictions was from 1.5 to 2.5 stages.

According to Ukrenergo, on the morning of October 29, electricity consumption was 2% lower than at the same time the previous day. The decrease was explained by forced power supply restrictions.

Energy workers urge Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly after supply is restored and, if possible, not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time. This is necessary to reduce the load on damaged networks.
