On the night of October 30, several regions of Russia were attacked by drones. In Samara Oblast, a fire broke out at the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery, which produces fuel for Russian military aviation. Simultaneously, Bryansk Oblast reported the possible damage to an enterprise supplying the Russian army. Due to the attack, all four Moscow airports were temporarily restricted in their operations.

This was reported by the Russian independent publication Astra, monitoring channel Exilenova+ and Rosaviatsia.

In Samara Oblast, the Novokuibyshevsk refinery was hit. Local residents reported explosions and the operation of air defense systems in the morning. Published photographs and videos show a large fire.

According to OSINT analysis of eyewitness footage by Astra, the fire occurred precisely on the territory of the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery. Exilenova+ published additional videos of the fire and reported numerous fire sources.

Governor of Samara Oblast Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed the drone attack on the region and reported the operation of air defense and mobile fire groups. However, he did not specify the exact affected objects.

The Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery is part of Rosneft's structure. Its production capacity is about 8.8 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces automotive gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, including for the needs of Russian military aviation, as well as bitumen and petroleum coke.

The plant has been repeatedly attacked. In particular, after the strikes in April 2026, both primary oil refining units were stopped at the enterprise. There have been no reports of a new production shutdown after the attack on October 30.

Due to the drone threat, Samara airport also temporarily suspended operations. According to Astra, some flights were delayed for many hours, and several flights between Samara and Moscow's Sheremetyevo were canceled.

In Bryansk Oblast, according to preliminary data, a fire could also have occurred at an industrial enterprise. Residents of the city of Starodub sent Astra photographs and videos of a burning building. One of the eyewitnesses claims that it is the "Konservsushprod" enterprise.

According to the publication, the plant produces canned products and is a supplier to the "Voentorg" company, which provides for the Russian army. The enterprise has already been attacked in 2023 and 2025.

At the same time, Astra emphasized that the photographs and videos from Starodub have not yet passed OSINT verification. The Russian authorities did not officially confirm the damage to the enterprise at the time of the report.

In parallel, from the evening of October 29 to the night of October 30, the Moscow region was under drone attack. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported dozens of allegedly shot down drones on the approaches to the Russian capital.

Due to the threat, Rosaviatsia introduced temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky and Sheremetyevo airports. Some flights were redirected to other cities. Restrictions were also introduced at Yaroslavl airport.

In the morning of October 30, the Russian aviation authority began to restore the operation of Moscow airports. First, restrictions were lifted at Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky, and later - at Vnukovo and Domodedovo.

There are currently no official data on the scale of damage to the Novokuibyshevsk refinery, the impact of the fire on oil product production, and possible losses of the enterprise.
