JSC "Ukrposhta" ended the third quarter of 2026 with a net loss of UAH 78.15 million. This is 48.5% less than in the same period last year, but the financial result was worse than planned. The company had expected to limit the quarterly loss to UAH 42.87 million.

This is evidenced by Ukrposhta's interim financial statements for the third quarter of 2026, published on October 29.

According to the company, in July-September the net loss decreased by UAH 73.65 million compared to the third quarter of 2025, when it amounted to UAH 151.8 million. At the same time, actual losses exceeded the planned figure by UAH 35.28 million.

Despite the loss, revenues of the state postal operator continued to grow. Net revenue from the sale of goods and services for the quarter reached UAH 3.45 billion against UAH 3.02 billion a year earlier. Thus, revenue increased by 14.4%, or UAH 433.86 million.

However, this indicator was also lower than management expectations. The company planned to receive UAH 3.58 billion in revenue, but the actual result was lower by UAH 126.2 million, or 3.5%.

In "Ukrposhta" they noted that compared to last year, revenues increased in several main areas of activity, including the forwarding of written correspondence, parcels, money transfers and trade.

At the same time, the EBITDA indicator, which characterizes profit before interest, taxes and depreciation, more than doubled - from UAH 100.3 million to UAH 205.17 million. It also exceeded the planned level of UAH 158.24 million. Therefore, not all financial indicators of the company were worse than forecast.

During the third quarter, "Ukrposhta" accepted 9.9 million parcels, 12.5 million units of written correspondence and 15.8 million payments. The company's network consisted of 7,121 service facilities, of which 1,974 were mobile post offices.

In the financial report, the company also draws attention to the impact of Russian attacks and unstable energy supply. The need to use backup power sources, change logistics routes and restore damaged facilities increases operating costs.

The management of "Ukrposhta" acknowledges that the company's financial condition has been loss-making for several consecutive years. This may limit the ability to attract additional financing and investments in long-term projects.

In the fourth quarter, the company plans to focus investments on increasing the energy independence of the postal infrastructure, developing digital services and expanding the network of parcel lockers.
