On Saturday, October 31, hourly power outage schedules will be in effect in all regions of Ukraine. Restrictions will last around the clock, with the longest outages expected in the afternoon.
This was announced on October 30 by the national energy company "Ukrenergo".
According to the company's updated statement, power supply restrictions are planned for the entire day — from 00:00 to 24:00. Their volume will range from 0.5 to 3 queues depending on the state of the power system.
The largest volume of outages is expected from 16:00 to 18:00. During this period, up to three queues of consumers may be disconnected simultaneously.
For industrial enterprises, capacity limitation schedules are also provided. They will be in effect around the clock — from 00:00 to 24:00.
The reason for the restrictions was the consequences of three massive Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in October. Equipment damage complicates the operation of the power system and requires limiting electricity consumption.
On Friday, October 30, due to the difficult situation in the power system, "Ukrenergo" also resumed restrictions in all regions of the country. Hourly outage schedules were introduced from 15:00 to 22:00 in the amount of one to two queues.
Energy experts warn that the time and duration of outages on October 31 may change. Adjustments will depend on the state of the power system.
You can find out the exact hours of power absence for a specific address on the official websites and pages of regional distribution system operators — oblenergo. The national operator determines the total volume of restrictions, and local companies draw up schedules for individual queues of consumers.
"Ukrenergo" urges citizens to use electricity sparingly during periods when its supply is restored. In particular, it is recommended not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously to reduce the load on the power system.
Recall that earlier "Kurs Ukrainy" reported on outage schedules for October 30. At that time, restrictions were planned in some regions in the amount of 1.5 to 2.5 queues.
