While on the interbank currency market a decline has emerged in cashless dollar quotes, on the cash market on Friday there was an absolutely opposite trend.

Selling prices for cash "American" that had been declining yesterday went up again. Moreover, in some cities there was a fairly noticeable increase caused by a shortage of cash currency and increased demand for it. At the same time, this morning the capital's wholesale buyers were selling the dollar at 46.37 UAH, that is, over the day it rose by 5 kopecks.

In regional centers, selling prices at wholesale exchange offices were even higher. So, in Lviv on Friday evening the dollar was sold at 46.45 UAH (5 kopecks more expensive than on Thursday). In Odesa, 46.55 UAH were asked for a dollar (price increase over the day – 20 kopecks), in Dnipro – 46.60 UAH (plus 15 kopecks). By evening, the most expensive dollar was in Kharkiv: here wholesalers were ready to sell at a minimum of 46.75 UAH, 34 kopecks more expensive than on Thursday.

At the same time, Ukrainian banks continued to gradually lower prices on their boards. The cheapest dollar by the end of Friday was sold at 45.70 UAH by some branches of PUMB bank (in some bank branches the sale was 45.70 per dollar, in others – 45.80 UAH). The most expensive dollar by evening was found in Accordbank – at 46.60 UAH.

The euro also did not become cheaper in Ukraine. By the evening of this day, the minimum euro selling price started from 51.15 UAH in Grant and Raiffeisen Bank, and the most expensive euro – at 51.95 UAH – was also sold in Accordbank.

The gap between the cost of cashless and cash dollar continues to grow. By Friday evening it grew by another 5 kopecks to 1.08 UAH. This indicates that the rush demand on the cash market persists. And only a decrease in this gap will signal that the situation on the cash market is stabilizing.
