UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband made accusations against his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov during a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in the US, according to Eurointegration.

As "European Pravda" writes, this is reported by Sky News.

At a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in Atlanta, Miliband directly addressed Lavrov, calling Russia an aggressor and reminding him of the Russian army's war crimes against Ukrainians.

"Let me say this directly to the Russian foreign minister – we all know who the aggressor is in this war. Let's talk about what happened yesterday on the railway in Dnipro. Just yesterday, your drones attacked and killed 15 people. And there are countless similar examples of how you kill innocent civilians throughout this war. We all know that you are the aggressor", – said the British diplomat.

In his address to Lavrov, Miliband stressed that Russia is not winning this war thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the help of allies.

"Putin then thought that he would easily win this war. But you will not win this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of countries represented at this table, you will not win. If you had the courage to tell the truth and do the right thing, you would tell Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win", – said the UK Foreign Secretary to his Russian counterpart.

As reported, the day before, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in the US to participate in the ministerial meeting of the "Group of Twenty".

At the ministerial meeting of the G20 in Atlanta there will be no traditional "family" photo of the ministers. The Associated Press agency, citing two American officials, reported that the US canceled plans for a joint photo with the leading G20 diplomats after several Europeans refused to be photographed with Lavrov.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, commenting on the meeting of G20 foreign ministers in the US, which was attended by the Russian Foreign Minister, said that Sergei Lavrovshowed no readiness for peace talks.

And Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski announced his intention to convey a message to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov calling for an end to the war against Ukraine.
