U.S. President Donald Trump commented on whether he will invite his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to the G20 summit to be held in Miami, according to Eurointegration.
He said this while speaking to journalists, according to the official White House Rapid Response account on X, writes European Pravda.
During the conversation with the press, Trump was asked whether he would invite Zelensky to the G20 summit, since the U.S. has invited Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
The American president gave a short answer.
"I would invite him. Yes, no problem", he said.
The day before, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington may invite Zelensky to the G20 leaders' summit in December if it brings positive results.
Recall that the United States invited the ruler of Russia Vladimir Putin to the December G20 summit in Miami, where he could hold a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
It was previously reported that Putin rejected the proposal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to hold talks on ending the war on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the United States.
Trump himself said that he does not know whether Putin will agree to a trilateral meeting with Zelensky in Miami.
