HMD has introduced the Nokia 2360 Flip, a feature phone whose settings relatives can change remotely. The model only supports 2G: such connectivity continues to work in Ukraine, and the phone's declared bands match the frequencies of the Vodafone Ukraine network.
A free Family Assist app for Android and iPhone is provided for remote management. Through it, one can add contacts, set reminders, adjust volume, and configure the SOS button. Commands reach the flip phone via SMS — mobile internet on the Nokia itself is not needed for this.
For example, relatives can add a new number for their parents or increase the volume without having to explain over the phone which menu items to open. However, sending commands may be charged at the SMS rate from the controlling device.
The SOS button activates after being held for three seconds: the phone calls one preselected number and simultaneously sends messages to up to five contacts. Recipients and text can be customized. This feature does not replace state emergency services.
For Ukrainian users, the network limitation is important. In the HMD specifications, only 2G and GSM 900/1800 bands are listed. The same frequencies are listed in the technical documentation of Vodafone Ukraine, and the operator's current conditions provide for 2G service.
Thus, by standard and frequencies, the model is compatible with the Ukrainian Vodafone network. However, this does not guarantee reception in a specific home: before purchasing, one should check 2G coverage where the phone will be used. For travel abroad, support for this network will need to be verified separately.
The Nokia 2360 Flip has two screens: a main 2.8-inch display and an external 1.77-inch one. A removable 1450 mAh battery and USB-C port are provided. The manufacturer claims up to 15 days of standby time — actual battery life will depend on usage and network conditions.
There are also parental controls for a child's phone: allowed contacts, school mode, and blocking of certain apps. These restrictions are set directly on the Nokia using a family PIN code.
On the Ukrainian HMD page, the price and release date are not yet specified.
