On Tuesday, November 3, the National Bank set the following official rates:

- US dollar – 45.5348 UAH ( +0.1822 UAH against the official rate on Monday, November 2);

- euro – 51.0527 UAH ( +0.3684 UAH against the official rate on Monday, November 2).

The rates were set at 15:30 on November 2 and reflect the following trends:

1. On Monday, immediately after trading started on the interbank foreign exchange market, non-cash dollar quotes rushed upward, despite the massive currency intervention carried out by the National Bank. The average deal price at 12:00 was 45.4677 UAH – 12.3 kopecks higher than last Friday. Shortly before trading closed, quotes reached 45.70 UAH on the 'bid' position, i.e. almost reached the historic maximum level (but did not renew it). By the close of trading the average price rose even more, so the NBU raised the official dollar rate for Tuesday by 18.2 kopecks.

2. The euro on the international FOREX market during the Asian and then European sessions on Monday began to rise and by the time of writing this article had risen to the level of 1.12371 dollars. At the moment of fixing, the euro was sold at 1.12118 dollars - 36.2 points higher than last Friday (1.11756). Therefore, in parallel with the increase in the official dollar rate, the NBU raised the official euro rate for Tuesday by almost 37 kopecks.

Overall, the interbank picture today was in line with the first day of the new month, but the dollar's rise over the past weekend aggravated the situation, further fueling demand for non-cash dollars.
