On Tuesday, November 3, power outage schedules will be in effect in certain regions of Ukraine. The restrictions are being introduced due to the difficult situation in the power system caused by the consequences of massive Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
This was reported on November 2 by the national energy company Ukrenergo.
Outages will affect some regions of Ukraine. The exact time of power absence for each locality and individual consumer groups should be checked on the official resources of regional distribution system operators.
The company warns that due to the consequences of Russian shelling, the situation in the power system remains unstable. Therefore, the duration of outages and the scope of restrictions may change depending on the condition of energy equipment.
Consumption restrictions apply not only to residential consumers. Separate capacity limitation schedules may be in effect for industrial enterprises, allowing to reduce the load on the power system.
On Monday, November 2, hourly outages of up to 2.5 stages were already applied in some regions of Ukraine. In addition, due to the worsening situation in the power system, emergency outages were introduced in Kyiv and several regions.
In particular, emergency restrictions affected Kyiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava and Zhytomyr regions. In regions where emergency outages were introduced, previously published hourly schedules temporarily ceased to be in effect.
According to Ukrenergo, on the morning of November 2, electricity consumption was 1.6% lower than in the corresponding period of the previous working day – October 30. However, the need for economical use of electricity remains, especially in the evening hours.
Energy workers urge Ukrainians to limit the use of powerful electrical appliances from 16:00 to 22:00 and not to turn on several energy-intensive devices at the same time.
Current information on outage schedules for November 3 should be checked on the websites and official pages of local regional power companies. It is the regional operators that publish schedules for specific addresses and report changes to them.
