Since the beginning of the day on November 2, 191 combat clashes have occurred between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops. The most intense enemy attacks have been recorded in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational update as of 22:00.
According to Ukrainian command, Russian troops carried out 44 air strikes, dropping 146 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 4,304 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,946 shelling of populated areas and positions of Ukrainian units.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 19 Russian attacks. The enemy attacked near Kostiantynivka, as well as towards Novoselivka, Raiske, Sofiivka, Kucheriv Yar, and Vilne.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian army launched 12 attacks. Fighting took place near Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Chernihivka, Svitlie, Dobropillia, Myrnie, and Serhiivka. As of 22:00, one combat clash was ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates of the General Staff, 65 Russian servicemen were eliminated in the Pokrovsk direction over the day, and another 14 were wounded. Ukrainian units destroyed three units of automotive equipment, two special vehicles, and two enemy shelters.
In addition, nine cars, two electronic warfare devices, a drone control point, and 43 shelters were damaged. Also, according to command, 120 drones of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
In the South-Slobozhanske direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions ten times. Fighting took place towards Izbytske, Hrafske, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, Shabelne, Chuhunivka, and Ambarne. As of the publication of the update, one attack was still ongoing.
In the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, eight Russian assaults were recorded. The enemy also carried out 42 shelling of Ukrainian positions and populated areas, four of which used rocket artillery systems.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven attacks towards Uspenivka, Ternuvate, Horke, and Charivne.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled six attempts of Russian offensive towards Nove, Kolodiagy, Lyman, and Zarichne. One fight was ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops tried three times to advance towards Radkivka. As of 22:00, fighting there was also ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped an attempt of Russian offensive near Yampil. Another attack was recorded in the Orikhiv direction – towards Krasna Krynytsia.
In the Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, and Prydniprovske directions, Russian troops did not conduct assault actions during the day.
According to the General Staff, no significant changes in the operational situation occurred on other sectors of the front. The data provided are preliminary and may be updated.
