The United States has announced the dates for a new round of trilateral talks with Ukraine and Russia. The meeting at the level of negotiating teams is scheduled for November 10–11 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

This was announced by US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on the social network X on November 2.

The main topics of the talks will include post-war security arrangements, de-escalation of hostilities, humanitarian issues, and further steps toward a peaceful settlement.

According to Axios, the American delegation at the talks in Abu Dhabi is expected to be led by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump. It is they who have been holding consultations with Ukrainian and Russian leadership in recent weeks on resuming the negotiation process.

In addition, this week American representatives will hold separate talks in Brussels with delegations from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and NATO.

The meeting in Brussels will discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, the future architecture of European security, and economic opportunities for supporting the country's post-war reconstruction.

Witkoff noted that the upcoming talks are intended to build on the results of previous diplomatic contacts in Kyiv, Oslo, and St. Petersburg. According to him, Washington seeks to achieve a comprehensive peace agreement that will ensure long-term security.

Preparation for the new round of talks has been underway for several weeks. At the end of October, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned the possibility of a trilateral meeting in the first half of November. At the time, the window of November 6–10 was being considered, but no final date was set.

The Ukrainian side emphasized the need to resume negotiations as soon as possible and to move from technical consultations to a meeting of state leaders at which key issues of ending the war could be addressed.

The Russian side had also previously stated its readiness to return to the trilateral format of negotiations. At the same time, significant differences between the positions of Kyiv and Moscow, particularly regarding territories and conditions for halting hostilities, remain unresolved.

The new round of talks is meant to revive the diplomatic process, which effectively stalled in February 2026 amid the war in the Middle East. The parties have not reported reaching any previous ceasefire agreements so far.
