Owners of the Ukrainian chain of cosmetics and perfume stores EVA are expanding their business in the financial services sector. Related company "Yevapei" received authorization from the National Bank of Ukraine and plans to create its own payment service for e-commerce.

This was reported on November 3 by the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers, citing EVA's press service.

On October 30, 2026, the NBU authorized LLC "Yevapei" to provide financial payment services and included the company in the Register of Payment Infrastructure with the status of a payment institution.

The obtained authorization allows "Yevapei" to transfer funds without opening accounts, as well as to provide acquiring services - acceptance and processing of non-cash payments.

This opens up an opportunity for the company to develop its own payment solutions for online stores and other e-commerce participants. In particular, these are tools for paying for goods and services with bank cards and other payment methods.

EVA confirmed that "Yevapei" strategy involves creating its own payment infrastructure and developing a separate service in the Ukrainian market.

At the same time, the company has not yet announced when exactly the new service will be launched, what tariffs it will offer to businesses, and whether it will be available to third-party online stores. Obtaining NBU authorization does not yet mean the actual launch of a payment product for shoppers.

The project has been in preparation for several years. Back in October 2023, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine allowed Cypriot Mitali Holdings Ltd. and Alina Kiptik to establish LLC "Yevapei".

EVA owners' entry into the payment market is not the first example of a large Ukrainian trading business creating its own financial infrastructure.

A similar model is already being developed by Rozetka. The payment institution RozetkaPay, associated with the online retailer, received its first NBU license in April 2023. Later, it expanded the list of allowed operations, in particular receiving the right to open and service payment accounts, and in August 2026 - to acquire payment instruments.

Currently, RozetkaPay offers online stores payment acceptance tools, payment links, and other e-commerce services.

Another example is NovaPay, a financial company of the NOVA group, which includes "Nova Poshta".

Initially, its activity was primarily related to money transfers and payment for postal shipments. Later, NovaPay expanded its business and began providing services of payment accounts, cards, transfers, and online acquiring. The company received the status of a payment institution in April 2023.

For large trading companies, own payment services can become a way to reduce dependence on third-party providers and expand control over the payment process. In addition, payment infrastructure creates opportunities for launching additional financial products and developing services for other sellers.

However, launching own payment business requires investments in technology, information security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Therefore, the economic effect depends on the number of transactions, maintenance costs, and the ability to attract customers.

Unlike RozetkaPay and NovaPay, which already work with customers and businesses, "Yevapei" is just preparing to launch its own service. Currently, the company has not disclosed its functionality and commercial terms.

Thus, "Yevapei" authorization opens a new direction of activity for EVA owners. At the same time, further prospects of the project will depend on whether the company can offer competitive payment solutions in a market where both banks and specialized financial institutions already operate.
