In Kyiv, due to damage to regional energy hub facilities after Russian attacks, the electricity supply situation remains extremely difficult. Emergency power outages are in effect in the capital and Kyiv region, with disruptions to water supply and public electric transport. In districts with the most serious problems, city authorities are setting up heating points.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this on November 3 in his official Telegram channel.

According to the mayor, recent Russian strikes damaged facilities of the Kyiv regional energy hub, as well as power generation and transmission equipment in other regions of Ukraine. As a result, the national energy company Ukrenergo was forced to introduce emergency electricity supply restrictions.

The situation with electricity supply in Kyiv is extremely difficult. The enemy continues to destroy Ukraine's unified energy system. Both generation and transmission of electricity throughout the country have been damaged, Klitschko noted.

Energy workers continue emergency restoration work to restore electricity supply to consumers. However, city authorities have not yet announced specific timelines for lifting the emergency outages.

Due to the lack of stable electricity supply, problems arose in the operation of the capital's water supply system. Kyivvodokanal specialists are working to stabilize voltage and restore water supply to residents' homes.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of Russian attacks, the main water supply facilities in Kyiv were de-energized, leading to a temporary halt in water supply in the city.

Damage to energy infrastructure also affected the operation of public transport in the city. In particular, disruptions were observed in electric transport services, whose operation depends on a stable electricity supply.

To support residents in areas of the capital where the electricity situation is most difficult, city authorities have begun setting up heating points.

According to Klitschko, at these points residents will be able to warm up, charge mobile phones and other electronic devices, and drink hot tea. The mayor did not provide a specific list of addresses for the new points or their opening schedule in his message.

It is recalled that on the morning of November 3, emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine following a massive Russian attack. During such restrictions, previously published hourly outage schedules do not apply.

Energy system operators and utility services continue restoration work. Residents are advised to monitor changes in electricity supply, water supply, and transport operations through official city service channels.
