Ukraine will be represented at the upcoming meeting with US First Lady Melania Trump at the White House by David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, and Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights. Representatives of Russia are also expected to participate. The main topic will be the continuation of humanitarian initiatives after the end of the temporary ceasefire in Oleshki, Kherson region.

On November 3, Ukrinform reported this, citing a knowledgeable source. Journalists from Susplne received similar information.

According to sources, the Russian side will be represented by Vladimir Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev and Russian Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantratova.

At the same time, the White House has not officially announced the personal composition of the delegations of Ukraine and Russia. Therefore, information about the participants is currently based on reports from sources of Ukrainian media outlets.

A source from Susplne noted that Ukrainian representatives intend to use the meeting to develop a separate channel for humanitarian cooperation, concerning the possibility of continuing projects aimed at providing assistance to the civilian population.

Earlier on November 3, the White House press service said that Melania Trump personally would gather representatives of Ukraine and Russia in Washington.

A speech by the US First Lady on the humanitarian ceasefire in Oleshki is scheduled for Thursday, November 5. It is to begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, or 6:00 p.m. Kyiv time. The American administration did not specify a separate time for the delegations' meeting.

The humanitarian truce in the area of temporarily occupied Oleshki was in effect from October 27 to November 1. It was organized to deliver food, medicine and drinking water, and to evacuate civilians.

After the operation ended, Melania Trump said that nearly 800 people had been evacuated. The White House highlighted the role of the First Lady in organizing contacts between the Ukrainian and Russian sides.

As Kurs of Ukraine previously reported, after the end of the humanitarian mission the sides began discussing the possibility of regular supplies of aid to residents of Oleshki.

Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets called for the systematic organization of such operations. The possibility of holding humanitarian missions at least once a month is being discussed.

Russian Ombudswoman Yana Lantratova also stated a proposal to approach Melania Trump for further mediation in organizing humanitarian aid.

It remains unknown whether the upcoming meeting in Washington will lead to new agreements on a humanitarian truce or regular missions. The sides have not announced an official schedule for future operations.
