On the evening of November 3, Russian troops again attacked Zhytomyr's energy infrastructure. Due to the threat of prolonged power outages, city authorities are preparing to deploy unbreakable points where residents can warm up, charge phones, and use the internet.

This was reported by the Zhytomyr City Council on its official Telegram channel.

If electricity supply cannot be restored by morning, the unbreakable points will start operating on November 4 from 9:00 AM. They are planned to be opened on the territory of the Zhytomyr community.

At such points, residents will be able to receive basic assistance during power outages. In particular, they provide places for heating, opportunities to charge mobile devices, and internet access.

Addresses of unbreakable points are published on the official website of the Zhytomyr City Council. The nearest point can also be found on the interactive map in the state application "Diia".

City authorities have not yet specified which energy facilities were damaged during the evening attack and how many consumers were left without electricity. The timeline for full restoration of power supply has also not been provided.

The energy supply situation in Zhytomyr worsened following a massive Russian attack on the night of November 3. In the morning, the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Bunechko, reported that due to damage to energy infrastructure, about 130 settlements in the region were left without power — more than 180,000 subscribers.

According to regional authorities, there were no deaths or injuries as a result of the night strikes. Energy workers began restoring electricity supply.

During the day, emergency power outages were in effect in the Zhytomyr region. Due to unstable voltage in the network, additional disruptions occurred, and electric transport was not operating in the regional center.

Problems with electricity supply also affected the city's communal infrastructure. In particular, in Zhytomyr there were interruptions in water supply and difficulties with starting heating in residential buildings.

Earlier on November 3, city authorities reported that heating was supplied to 775 out of 950 apartment buildings. At the same time, all city boiler houses were connected to the heating system, but due to constant power outages, equipment had to be repeatedly switched.

The communal enterprise "Zhytomyrteplokomunenergo" explained that unstable electricity supply complicates the operation of boiler houses and the restoration of normal heat supply. Water hammers have already been recorded in the system.

Utility services continue to work on stabilizing heat supply, but completion of connection for all buildings may require additional time.

Against the backdrop of repeated attacks, the city administration recommends residents monitor official communications about electricity supply and the operation of unbreakable points.

The final decision on their opening on the morning of November 4 will depend on whether energy workers manage to restore power supply overnight.
