Emergency power outages were reintroduced in Kyiv and Kyiv region on 4 November. This happened shortly after reports about the cancellation of emergency restrictions and return to scheduled hourly outages.
The reintroduction of outages was announced by the energy company DTEK. The restrictions were applied on the order of NPC Ukrenergo.
During emergency outages, previously published hourly schedules do not apply. Therefore, electricity supply may be cut off outside the hours set for consumers. When the capital and the region will be able to return to planned schedules is not reported yet.
Earlier, on 4 November, Ukrenergo reported partial stabilisation of the power system after massive Russian attacks. At that time, emergency outages were cancelled in most regions, including Kyiv and Kyiv region. The exception remained Kharkiv region, where emergency restrictions continued to apply.
Meanwhile, DTEK reported the return of emergency outages in Dnipro. Hourly power supply schedules also do not apply in the city.
Ukrenergo previously warned that the situation in the power system remains difficult, especially in the capital region. Due to damage to energy infrastructure as a result of Russian shelling, the restriction regime may change promptly.
Energy workers continue restoration works. Consumers are advised to follow messages from local grid operators and use electricity sparingly when it is available.
