For Thursday, November 5, the National Bank has set the following official exchange rates: - US dollar – 45.5375 UAH (-0.1285 UAH compared to the official rate for Wednesday, November 4); - euro – 51.02489 UAH (+0.1907 UAH compared to the official rate for Wednesday, November 4).

Rates are set at 15:30 on November 4 and reflect the following trends:

1. The first half of the trading session on Wednesday, November 4, was in a narrow range of 45.54-45.56 UAH. Buyers reduced activity, which allowed the National Bank to easily keep the non-cash dollar exchange rate in a narrow range. The average transaction price at 12:00 was 45.5520 UAH – 16 kopiykas lower than on Tuesday. After 14:00, the National Bank conducted another currency intervention, as a result of which the non-cash dollar exchange rate dropped to 45.485 UAH on the "bid" position. By the close of trading, the average price fell even more, so the NBU lowered the official dollar exchange rate for Thursday by 12.9 kopiykas.

2. The euro on the international FOREX market rose sharply on Wednesday after it became known that the Democrats won a landslide victory in the US midterm elections. By the time of writing, the euro had risen to 1.1273 dollars. At the time of fixing, the euro was sold at 1.12542 dollars – 73.4 points higher than on Tuesday (1.11808). Therefore, despite the decrease in the official dollar exchange rate, the NBU raised the official euro exchange rate for Thursday by 19 kopiykas.

Thus, we can state a certain stabilization of the situation on the interbank currency market as a result of the efforts of the National Bank.
