Ukraine received from the European Union the next tranche of financial support in the amount of 4.36 billion euros under the Ukraine Support Loan program. The funds are intended to finance priority state budget expenditures and the immediate needs of the Defense Forces.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyi announced this on November 5.

Of the total amount, 3.7 billion euros is macro-financial assistance, and another 660 million euros is the defense component. Thus, the new inflow simultaneously provides support for public finances and additional resources for defense needs.

According to Koretskyi, amid constant Russian attacks, EU assistance remains important for strengthening Ukraine's defense capability and maintaining the financial stability of the state.

Ukraine Support Loan is a European Union credit mechanism with a total volume of 90 billion euros, designed for 2026-2027. According to the European Commission, the program provides approximately 30 billion euros of budget support and 60 billion euros for Ukraine's defense needs.

The current 3.7 billion euros corresponds to the size of the second tranche of macro-financial assistance, as determined by the EU Council decision of April 23, 2026. The document provides for three payments under this direction: 3.2 billion euros, 3.7 billion euros, and 1.45 billion euros. Ukraine received the first tranche in June.

In total, for 2026, up to 45 billion euros of support for Ukraine is foreseen under the Ukraine Support Loan, including up to 16.7 billion euros for budget needs and up to 28.3 billion euros for defense.

The Prime Minister noted that the government continues negotiations with European partners regarding the timely receipt of the remaining planned funding. Specific dates for the next tranche are not provided in the released statement.
