In Kyiv and four regions of Ukraine, extensive emergency power outages are being implemented on November 6. Due to the difficult situation in the power system, restrictions have been imposed on five queues of consumers. The situation in the capital remains particularly difficult, where outage schedules may change repeatedly during the day.

This was reported by NPC "Ukrenergo" in an updated summary on the state of the power system.

According to the company, emergency outages amounting to five queues are applied in Kyiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy regions.

Energy experts explain that such measures are necessary to prevent a critical voltage drop in the power system, which has suffered significant damage due to Russian attacks.

Unlike hourly outages, emergency restrictions are applied depending on the current state of the grid. Therefore, previously published schedules in these regions may not correspond to the actual time of power outages.

The most difficult situation remains in Kyiv. "Ukrenergo" warns that during the day, schedules may change frequently. Specialists are continuously working to stabilize the electricity supply and return to predictable hourly outages.

In other regions where emergency restrictions are not applied, schedules of hourly power outages of 2.5 to 4 queues continue to apply. For industrial enterprises, power limitation schedules are also provided.

The situation was further complicated by new Russian attacks on energy infrastructure on the night of November 6 and in the morning.

According to the Ministry of Energy and "Ukrenergo", new blackouts as a result of shelling have been recorded in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

Emergency restoration work continues in the affected regions. Energy workers are repairing damaged equipment where the security situation allows.

"Ukrenergo" urges consumers to use electricity sparingly and not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously. Excessive load on the damaged power system can lead to a voltage drop and damage to in-house electrical networks.

The company emphasizes that the scope and duration of restrictions may change depending on the state of the power system. Current information about outages at specific addresses should be checked on the official resources of electricity distribution system operators.

Terms for the complete cancellation of emergency outages have not been announced yet. The return to predictable schedules will depend on stabilization of the power system operation.
