More than 200 battles in a day: General Staff names the hottest front line sectors

Since the beginning of the day on August 4, 216 combat clashes have occurred on the front line. Russian troops attacked most actively in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, and South Slobozhanske sectors.

This was stated in the operational summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00.

Russian troops launched one missile strike using two missiles and 68 airstrikes, dropping 213 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy employed 6,428 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,294 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.

The most intense fighting continued in the Pokrovsk sector, where Russian units conducted 23 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Shakhove, Sofiivka, Chernihivka, Annivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novopidhorodne. One combat clash was ongoing at the time of the report's publication.

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 40 Russian servicemen and wounded six others on this section. Also destroyed were two vehicles and three special equipment units, an unmanned aerial vehicle control center, and 340 drones of various types. Four enemy artillery systems and one vehicle were damaged.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Defense Forces repelled 18 attacks in the areas of Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselovka, and Novopavlivka. In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian units stopped 17 advance attempts near Zakotne, Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Piskunivka, and Reznikivka.

In the South Slobozhanske sector, Russian troops attacked 15 times near Kozacha Lopan, Lyman, Izbytske, Kovaliivka, Okhrymivka, Chorne, Khatnie, Mytrofanivka, and Ivashchyne. In the Huliaipole sector, 12 attacks were recorded, and 11 in the Lyman sector.

In the North Slobozhanske and Kursk sectors, the enemy conducted three attacks. In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three assaults, and in the Oleksandrivka and Kramatorsk sectors, two each.

In the Kupiansk and Prydniprovske sectors, no Russian assault actions were recorded during the day. On the remaining sections of the front, there were no significant changes in the situation.
