State Border Guard Service of Ukraine assessed the strengthening of Belarusian troops near the border with Ukraine

Belarus continues to strengthen its military component and deploy new units, including in areas related to the Ukrainian border. At the same time, Ukrainian border guards currently do not record any signs of formation of a grouping that could indicate preparation for a new offensive. This was stated by the representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.

According to him, the Ukrainian side constantly monitors the situation on the territory of Belarus and changes in the location of military units. The strengthening of Minsk's military activity itself remains a risk factor, but at the moment it is not accompanied by actions characteristic of direct preparation for an offensive operation.

In particular, border guards do not observe the formation of a strike grouping directly near the Ukrainian border. The start of a large ground operation would require the concentration of a significant number of personnel, equipment and other resources, signs of which the Ukrainian side is not currently recording.

A similar assessment was previously given by the State Border Guard Service. In July, Demchenko reported that no strike groupings were being formed near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, although Belarus continues to develop military infrastructure and remains a potentially dangerous direction.

Ukrainian forces continue to monitor not only the border line itself, but also what is happening deep inside Belarus. Special attention is paid to the movement of units, military equipment and the development of facilities that could later be used for deploying personnel and weapons.

At the same time, the State Border Guard Service emphasizes that the situation can change, since Belarus closely cooperates with Russia in the military sphere. Therefore, the northern direction remains under constant control of the Defense Forces regardless of the current absence of signs of direct preparation for an offensive.

Earlier Demchenko also noted that the military infrastructure on the territory of Belarus continues to develop, but its expansion cannot automatically be considered preparation for an invasion without signs of concentration of strike forces near the border.
