General Staff reported 178 battles per day: where Russia attacked most actively

Since the beginning of the day on September 1, 178 combat clashes occurred on the front. Russian troops attacked most actively on the Konstantinovka and Pokrovsk directions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the summary as of 22:00.

Over the day, the Russian army launched one missile and 68 air strikes, using 211 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 7,132 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,227 shellings of positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

On the Konstantinovka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 21 assaults near Konstantinovka, Ilyinovka, Novoselovka, Stepanovka, and Sofiyivka, as well as towards Novopavlovka and Volnoye.

Another 17 attacks were undertaken by Russian troops on the Pokrovsk direction. They attempted to advance towards Novy Donbass, Sergeyevka, Novopodgorodnoye, and Novopavlovka, as well as near Udachnoye, Muravka, Molodetskoye, and Orekhovoye. As of 22:00, three clashes continued there.

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, on the Pokrovsk direction 45 Russian servicemen were killed and 23 wounded during the day. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed six vehicles and two ammunition depots, damaged two more vehicles and 35 shelters. In addition, 346 UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

On the Gulyaypol direction, the Defense Forces repelled nine Russian attacks towards Vozdvizhenka, Rozhdestvenka, Verkhnyaya Tersa, and Charivnoye. On the Liman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attacks, one of which was ongoing at the time of publication of the summary.

On the South-Slobozhanskoe direction, Russian units attacked positions of Ukrainian troops four times towards Volokhovka and Khatneye, as well as near the Volchansk farms. Two clashes were ongoing.

On the Kupyansk direction, four offensive actions were recorded towards Radkovka, Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, Kurilovka, and Kovsharovka. On the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped two attacks, on the Kramatorsk direction — one, and on the Orekhov direction — one more.

On the Alexandrovsk and Pridneprovsk directions, no offensive actions by Russian troops were recorded during the day. On other sectors of the front, according to the General Staff, no significant changes in the situation occurred.
