Banks lowered the dollar rate, but exchange offices went against the trend: cash market overview
While the dollar on the interbank market continued to decline, the cash market did not support the trend. Prices at wholesale exchange offices in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa went up today.
In particular, in Kyiv, the selling price of cash dollar at wholesalers rose to 44.89 UAH by evening – 4 kopecks higher than on Tuesday. In Kharkiv, the dollar became more expensive by 1 kopeck (wholesalers sell it at 44.99 UAH), and in Odesa – by 5 kopecks (here the dollar was offered at 44.95 UAH).
But in Dnipro and Lviv, the price did not change: in both cities by evening, 44.95 UAH were asked for a dollar.
At the same time, Ukrainian banks continued to lower selling prices for the dollar. The cheapest dollar on Wednesday evening can be bought at a bank in Lviv for 44.94 UAH, the most expensive – at Zaporizhzhia's Metbank for 45.35 UAH (15 kopecks cheaper than yesterday evening).
Cash euro became cheaper even more. If yesterday evening it could be bought cheapest at 50.74 UAH at Credobank, then tonight – at 50.49 UAH at Credit Agricole Bank (25 kopecks cheaper than yesterday evening).
