OKKO gas station network plans to increase the number of stations equipped with temporary protective structures to 120 by the end of October 2026. Currently, such shelters have been installed at more than 75 stations. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company has suffered over $150 million in losses from Russian attacks.

This was reported by OKKO's press service on October 12.

According to the company, since 2022, more than 80 gas stations of the network and over 10 oil depots — both its own and those where OKKO stored fuel — have come under Russian strikes. Despite the massive destruction, the company managed to restore operations at over 90% of the damaged stations.

To enhance the safety of employees and visitors, certified concrete protective structures are being installed at gas stations in stages. They are intended for temporary shelter during air raids.

OKKO's Operating Director Olena Voroshylo stressed that protecting staff and customers remains one of the company's main priorities. According to her, the network will continue to equip new facilities with shelters and improve response procedures to danger.

In addition to installing shelters, OKKO is strengthening the engineering protection of its gas stations. The company is implementing additional means of protecting equipment and infrastructure from drones, as well as using solutions to reduce risks during attacks.

OKKO also reported joining the Unified System of Operational Threat Alerts. According to the company, it was the first among fuel retail operators to join this system. This allows faster warning of gas station employees, stopping work processes, and moving to protected areas.

The company notes that restoring damaged facilities remains a separate area of work. The continuous functioning of the network is necessary to supply fuel to the Defense Forces, critical infrastructure, volunteers, businesses, and the population.

After reaching the planned target of 120 protected stations, OKKO intends to continue the program. The company did not specify the total cost of shelter installation or the final timeline for its implementation.
